How to Cook Long Grain White Rice
- 1 cup Florida's Table™ Organic Long Grain White Rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
1. Rinse 1 cup rice and drain, combine rice with 2 cups water*, 1/2 tsp. salt (1 tsp. butter or oil, if desired), then in a medium pot, stir and bring to boil.
2. Cover the pot with a tight fitting lid, reduce heat to low and bring to a gentle simmer for 20 mins.
3. Remove from heat, let rice rest with lid on for 5 mins. Remove lid, fluff with a fork and serve while warm.
*yields approximately 3 cups cooked rice.
